Welcome to Indianapolis Welding Supply & Medical Oxygen Company
Indianapolis Welding Supply, Medical Oxygen is a 50 year-old, third-generation Central Indiana business. The company supplies products and gases to manufacturing, medical and public safety professions throughout the state of Indiana via its three locations in Indianapolis, West Lafayette and Edinburgh.
Serving Indianapolis customers since 1948
Headquartered on McCarty Street, directly south of the new Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis, the company employs a staff of nearly 20 people. In late 1948 Indianapolis Welding Supply was founded in a simple Virginia Avenue storefront, where welding supplies were bought daily by tradesman working throughout the city. Making way for progress, the business was asked by the city to relocate (1960’s) to accommodate the I-70 highway build. The owners found their new McCarty Street home, where they’ve continued to operate ever since.
Products and Services
Today, through Indinanapolis Welding Supply and Medical Oxygen Co., the business supplies needed gases to the medical, manufacturing and public safety professions. Customers include: physicians, dentists, veterinarians, hospitals, laboratories, home healthcare, fire departments and military units, aircraft, racing, automotive and construction industries throughout Indiana.
Specialty Gases
As Central Indiana’s life science business and research communities continues to grow, Medical Oxygen Co. has been a key supplier of specialty and high purity gases. In fact, the company supplies needed gases for cancer science researchers at the Indiana University Cancer Center.

The business continues to offer welding supplies and gear from its storefront on McCarty Street. There also are facilities throughout the state of Indiana located north in West Lafayette and south in Edinburgh.
